I admit - I was initially skeptical about the flea market. Our target was to raise a thousand bucks. Assuming we sell items at 2 dollars each, we'd have to sell 500 items. Minus the stuff that people aren't interested in. Could we even get that much stuff to sell? But we went ahead with the plan and last night I made a last ditch effort to find something to contribute to the flea market. There's an empty space now where my Hillsong CDs once stood (It's just my United albums now. Still need to watch the bonus dvds for inspiration.) And that expensive Nike basketball my friends gave me for my 16th birthday has a new home in Pasir Ris. It's not like I play as often as I used to anyway. And I also found some really creepy albums like this techno/house club album. Koon - you've won the bet. Nobody bought that cd. There goes my free lunch.

Anyway. Despite the skeptism on the part of many team members, God still came through and as usual didn't just bless us, but blessed us abundantly. Sales from the flea market alone hit $500, and together with the donations, we've raised a whoopin' 1.5 k. Thank you everybody! Because of your generosity, the 10 of us won't have to cycle to Thailand or sleep in the streets. And we can now afford to put meat on the dinner table!

I have got to stop exaggerating.
