With so many things screaming for my attention, I've hardly had time to mess around with my notebook. Anyway I'm still trying to get used to the keys on the keyboard. The keys seem smaller and I keep hitting the wrong ones. And I keep missing the "Alt" key since notebooks have an additional "Function" key next to "Ctrl", shifting everything else 1 step to the right.

But anyway. Was on duty again today. 3 duties this month! Think the roster is flawed. How can I be doing 3 duties every month when there's so many of us in the office? The only reason I'm not kicking up a fuss is the fact that I get to claim extra time off for staying late.

Was supposed to buy Amanda ice cream yesterday (was ages since I last saw her) but I ended up getting my fisheye instead. A fisheye! Wheee!!! I've only just loaded the film, so I can't say much about the pics but I'll post them up after I go develop them. I'll probably bring it down to RicaRica (thurs evening ppl! be there!) and just go trigger happy. Of course, for every one nice shot there'll probably be 9 not so nice ones but oh well. It just means I'll have to take even more random shots.

And there's this new joint (to me at least) in Taka called Pepper Lunch, which is basically teppanyaki fast food style. Or as fast as teppanyaki can get. The novelty of frying your own beef wore off pretty fast for me (why should I pay to cook my own food?) but Amanda couldn't get enough of it. Maybe girls just have an affinity for cooking or something. But the food was actually pretty good. Just be a little careful with the garlic soy sauce. Ended up pouring too much into my beansprouts (very bad idea).

I'm looking for a laptop bag. Probably a sling one since I've already got a backpack. Almost bought one at Crumpler yesterday but the salesgirl's attitude made me throw that idea out the window. The way she spoke to this formally dressed guy and the way she spoke to me (I was in just a polo tee and my number 3 uniform pants) said just one thing: I didn't have as much buying power (that's actually quite subjective) as the man in a tie and so I didn't deserve customer service. Turned me off instantly and I walked out of the shop. If it were AX or LV they would have had a wee bit of a reason to snub me (I'd still be royally pissed), but it's just Crumpler for crying out loud.

So much for customer service.

Before I forget: Reubs sent me an email for this program a friend of his from MediaCorp was producing. Basically it's a reality tv kinda of competition for young people. Click here for details. You'll have to be 15-18 years of age, and must be free for 3 days from 10 to 22 Dec. Form your own groups of 3. Nokia N90s up for grabs so if you're interested, let me know.
