So I'm back from Hong Kong. Since I only had 4 days of leave left my family couldn't stay for long. The fact that I got hit by a flu-fever combo on day 3 didn't really help. After spending 2 days cooped in a hotel room, I can safely say this: Hongkie television has to be the most boring on earth. Period. If it wasn't some cantonese drama it was Oprah Winfrey. Have you seen a studio of a hundred-odd women shriek at stuff like Oprah's new handbag? Trust me on this - Don't.

Anyway. Despite being in a shoppers' paradise I couldn't find 2 things on my to buy list - lomo cams and nice cutesy little cards. Says alot about my shopping skills doesn't it? We didn't go to Disneyland either (mom said it was a pointless waste of time) though technically we WERE at Disneyland. At the entrance to be precise. So Cindy, no mickey tees. Samuel - no precious moments figurines either. The train to Disneyland has got to be the nicest public subway I've ever been in though. Think comfy lounge chair seats, mickey shaped windows and handlebars and even small statues of Disney characters littered throughout the train. I'd be forcing my way into Disneyland if I was like 5.

One really irritating thing about Hong Kong is that their English sucks, despite being a former Birtish colony. Makes you wonder what they've been learning all those years under Brit rule.

Ok. Enough complaining. What I liked about Hong Kong: The food, and the weather. 'Nuff said.
