.about

he answers to ben, neb and oei.

he knows what God has called him to do - whether he thinks it's crazy is another story.

he loves music and attempts to create it when the mood strikes.

he just got too lazy to complete this paragraph.

Something interesting my coach at Believer shared: The book of Psalms is actually a book of songs, and yet God doesn't provide any scores or notes for each psalm. Which is good, since music evolves over time. Can you imagine singing a psalm to a thousand year old tune? Put them next to our hymns and Charles Wesley would look like a rock star.

So God provides the words. The music, on the other hand, comes from us, which brings to mind something somebody else once said - There's no such thing as Christian music per se. What makes a song "Christian" is the lyrics of the song. Take the tune for a song like "Jesus Loves Me", put in secular lyrics and the song would be no more Christian than "Helena" (incidently still one of the most played songs in my mp3) is.

I've gone without coffee for 2 weeks, and surprisingly I don't really feel much of a difference. The whole "coffee keeps me awake" thing was probably more psychological than anything. At least for me. Anyhow George pointed out today that I don't seem to let a day pass without grabbing a tau sa pao so apparently I've channeled my coffee addiction to something else.
